  • Wearing muddy boots so that the boots have grips so we are unable to fall

  • Talk to the cast and crew to make them aware of what could possibly happen.

  • Can find a less muddy place to film at hailnaut forest.

  • Prepare where the nearest hospital is in case an emergency happens.

  • Have emergency contact with the cast's parents if something happens and will call when necessary.

  • Trees/branches can fall onto the cast/crew.

  • Warning the cast/crew about the trees so that they can be aware of the possibilities that could happen.

  • Filming where the cast and crew don’t end up under a tree.

  • Have an emergency location where the cast/crew hurts themselves from the branches. I can sit them aside and call an uber to go to the nearest hospital/health centre.

  • Making sure that the cast and crew are aware of their surroundings and keep equipment with them at all times.

  • Can film in a different area where people aren’t around to ensure that no one sees the camera and thinks to steal it.

  • Have the school's contact number in case it gets stolen so that they’ll be informed.

  • Have the police number to also inform them about the missing camera so they’ll be able to capture the culprit.

  • Loads of hills which could provoke one of the actors' asthma.

High 12

  • Filming where climbing up hills won’t be necessary

  • Making sure the cast/crew know beforehand the location so that if they have asthma they can bring their asthma pump.

  • Save the crew’s family contact details in case something like this does happen and other crew members not knowing what to do.

  • Have and plan a route of getting to the hospital as quickly and efficiently as possible to reduce the amount of walking.

  • Equipment malfunctioning

M.G

Z.G

S.B

Major

Medium 8

  • Before the cast leave for the shooting of the movie, they should double check the equipment for any issues.

  • Investing in high quality equipment as they tend to last and function a lot more better than low-cost ones.

  • Have an emergency procedure set so that if someone does end up malfunctioning, the crew are already trained for that issue and can resolve it quickly.

  • Have a back-up persons number saved who has similar equipment, in case of an emergency and they need to be called.

  • Inform the school which equipment has malfunctioned so that it can be fixed for its next use.

LO4, P4 - Location Recce

 Location recce :

Hainault forest:

When using Hainault forest it has various creative elements that would be eye-catching to the audience that would be watching the short film. I can be creative with the greenery of the forest and use it as a back-drop due to it looking old-fashioned. This will offer visually appealing back-drops for cinematography due to the forest providing an appealing aesthetic for my short-film. It highlights the inevitable betrayal of one of my characters in the short film as the eerie background portrays a mysterious atmosphere in the audience's minds. The forest has many different purposes such as branches on top of each other, pathways, wildlife in which I can take advantage of.

Milhan's shed:

I’m going to utilise my back garden shed and use it as a creepy mysterious house as in my short film, one of the characters is going to be locked inside which leads to the audience wondering what has happened to them. As the shot is only going to include the shed, I will need to focus on making sure that the exterior of the shed is as perplexing and cryptic looking as possible. To enhance the cinematography the lighting should be carefully considered and the scene should be shot at night time with the moon out to make sure that the atmosphere being portrayed is strange. This is because in this part of the short film, the dark part has now made an appearance and I want to highlight it as much as possible due to a cliff hanger shortly coming up.
